Christine Kallemera is a finance professional with over twenty years of work experience focusing on financial management, training, compliance, risk and project management. She enjoys challenging and influencing organisations to grow, measure results, address capacity gaps and evolve in response to changes in their operating environments. Christine is a passionate trainer and a self-motivated learner who enjoys acquiring new skills. She is adaptable to multi-cultural environments and have carried out assignments in Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Eritrea, South Sudan, Thailand, Ghana, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Christine is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree, from Makerere University Kampala, a Master of Business Administration (MBA), from the East and Southern Africa Management Institute (ESAMI) and a certificate in Sustainable Finance from the University of Cambridge, Institute of Sustainable Development. Her previous board leadership roles include serving as a member of social development organization in Eastern Uganda that provided appropriate and relevant information to people in rural communities for sustained improvement of their lives. Christine provided financial oversight and direction to the organisation’s financial management practices and systems. She particularly was responsible for; vetting and engaging with the external auditors, reviewing compliance requirements and reports, engaging with current and potential donors on issues of finance, reviewing quarterly budget reports as produced by management and monitoring of the organisation’s internal controls. Christine has also served as an advisory board member of a charity organization which operates in nine countries namely Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Namibia, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe. The organisation advances women’s issues at all levels from the community to international platforms. Christine was responsible for monitoring the performance of the secretariat, ensuring the organisation’s goals were clearly established, measurable and strategies were in place for achieving them. As a director of Atacama Environmental Advisory Services Limited, Christine is responsible for providing financial and administrative oversight to the organisation; as well as setting up sound systems and policies in place to establish a trusted, innovative and socially responsible brand reputation.
